Figure 4. Demographic history of tiger cat units inferred with MSMC2 Dotted lines are effective population sizes estimated from individual samples across 27-time intervals (20 bootstrap replicates, not shown). Solid lines are jointly estimated from multiple unphased genomes per population, offering improved resolution at 32-time intervals. Black,dotted range lines show the Pleistocene Ne (y axis) and the time interval (x axis) used to calculate it (Table 1). Coalescent time was scaled to years using a mutation rate of 8.6 × 10̅ 9 mutations per base pair per generation and a generation time of 3.8 years.32 See also Figure S15 and Tables S2 and S8.
